Bin Diving Vol. 37

So there was a record show today, and I actually came away with a fairly nice haul. With the exception of one of these records (you can probably guess which), all were priced under five dollars.

  • Bela Babai “King of the Gypsy Violin” and His Orchestra - Gypsy Love (1955)
  • João Gilberto, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Marian Bethânia - Brasil (1981) [João produced this session with Gilberto and Caetano Veloso]
  • Meco - Music Inspired by Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk (1977)
  • Nena - 99 Luftballons (1983/4)
  • Gary Numan - Telekon (1980)
  • Squeeze - Cool for Cats (1979)
  • Various Artists - Future Vintage: Covers of The Apples in stereo (2010) [Limited edition 12” vinyl, 250 pressed to celebrate The Apples’ release of Travellers in Space and Time. Artists include Ted Leo, Generationals, Maps and Atlases, and Elf Power!]
  • Die Zwei - “Grapsch!” 12” Single (1984) [US release of German synthpop - not really sure what this sounds like, but I’m definitely stoked!]
